Keith Richards Rocks Out With Louis Vuitton

Two of my favorite things have finally united, Rock-n-Roll and Louis Vuitton. The leather clad, greasy haired, I can’t get no satisfaction guitarist Keith Richards has joined forces with French fashion house Louis Vuitton. The idea of this is genius… rock stars date models, models wear designer clothes, so to complete the circle of life it would only make sense to have a rock star in a designer ad campaign.

The Rolling Stones guitarist will be used for the new LV ad's. The “leathery” faced rock icon is photographed by famous portrait photographer Annie Leibovitz. In this edgy new ad Richards is playing a black guitar with a custom-made LV instrument case sitting behind him. The ad will read, “Some journeys cannot be put into words. New York. 3am.Blues in C”.

The idea for this campaign is to bring a “fresh” revamped appearance to Louis Vuitton. Fresh being the operative word since Richards face looks older than Louis Vuitton has existed. Whether or not Richards should invest in some major Botox and a tube of SPF 500 is not an issue for me, this in my opinion is one of the best ad campaigns that a designer has ever had. Not only is Richards pushing the luxe line of bags, he is raising awareness for Global Warming. The ultra cool rocker plans to donate all proceeds from the campaign to the Climate Project, launched by former Vice President and Nobel Prize winner Al Gore.

Some other iconic faces to grace LV’s past ad campaigns have been former Russian leader Mikhail Gorbachev, and screen sirens Catherine Deneuve, Scarlett Johansson and Uma Thurman.

Now I understand Deneuve, Johansson, and Thurman appearing in Louis Vuitton ad's but Mikhail Gorbachev I need an explanation for.

Maybe Tyra should have Richards as a guest judge on America's Next Top Model.

Justin Timberlake and Kate Hudson Dating "More Than A Year"

Justin Timberlake has been on my "will marry list" since he was in N'sync rocking the blonde fro and like most females I have become obsessed with all things JT. Which is why I google him at least a few times daily just to keep up. This morning as I was doing my normal a.m stalking on JT I ran across this interesting new development on his very complicated love life. The New York Post is reporting that JT is having a secret affair with Kate Hudson. The Post says, that Hudson has been secretly seeing Justin Timberlake for the past year, "Kate is very private and refuses to be seen with him in public," an insider said. "She doesn't want to be humiliated like Cameron Diaz was when he dumped her. But they talk every day on the phone and see each other often."

The denial of this rumor should come as no real shock to anyone. In Hollywood, a celebrity denying a relationship or engagement is about as common as plastic surgery. In fact, We should all take a cue from celebs like Timberlake and Hudson, and just deny, deny, deny-until the relationships end, someone comes out of the closet or ends up pregnant.

This theory of non-disclosure is really nothing new-we all did it in middle and high school-like this one time when, like, I really had a crush on this totally cute boy-we'll call him "Blake ". But, like-he had just broken up with my BFF "Stef", so like, we totally had to keep it on the DL, and we couldn't go to prom together, because that would be a major dis'. So we like, both totally had to go with other people, but it didn't matter because we ended up like making out all night anyway...
Yes, the behavior of today's stars is just as immature as a high school students. Often the entertainment media is like that group of mean girls that locked themselves in the bathroom at prom to dish on what a bad friend I was to "Stef".

I constantly ask myself, can we not leave these stars alone? Perhaps, if the rumor-dealers would back off just a little bit, celebrities might not feel like they have so much to hide. This too, is a relationship theory that we learned back in high school: Once people stop talking about the popular girl, she'll put a couple of rumors in the mill herself-and they'll be true, because we know that Ms. Popular isn't smart enough to think of a good lie. I would be more interested in what Timberlakes girlfriend Jessica Biel thinks of these rumors. We all know Timberlake thinks he is a gift to the female species but Biel is sweet and doesn't deserve this, or maybe there is more to this story than we know.

Will Miley be the next Britney?

I know we all hope young Miley is not on the same path as Ms. Spears but in this day in time it only makes sense to ask... Is Miley on the road to "crazyville"? Is she a good role model for teen girls? The star that is best known as Hannah Montana has some people wondering if she will turn out to be a brilliant young star that little girls can look up to or a Britney Spears or a Lindsay Lohan in the making. Lets face it even Britney and Lindsey were young and innocent at one point.

In a recent interview for Barbara Walters pre-Oscar show, which aired February 24, Miley's mom Leticia, told Barbara that Miley has recently entered a rebellious phase. “I think just being a normal 15-year-old girl is difficult,” she said, adding that she’s had to set “a lot of boundaries.” But is Miley pushing those boundaries too far? Recent photos of Miley’s sexy Grammy night outfit that was much to sexy for a 15 year old to wear but others considered Miley's new revealing look as normal teenage experimentation.

New racy photos, supposedly of Hannah Montana star, Miley Cyrus, are rumored to show the young starlet in her underwear. Some have said that the photos may be photoshopped. Regardless of whether or not the Hannah Montana star in fact took photos of herself in her underwear, why are we so obsessed with turning good girls bad? Before the new pictures surfaced, there was big drama about the Miley Cyrus photos that the Hannah Montana star took with a friend at a sleepover that some thought were a little too racy for a 15 year-old Hannah Montana star.

Miley Cyrus was drawn into the spotlight because of her famous father, Billy Ray Cyrus, and her hit show Hannah Montana, Miley seems to be just another victim of the public being overly eager to prove that no one is perfect. I think that the public is especially after the reputations of stars that make a point of going against the multiple rehab trip, doing lines in the bathroom, no panty wearing, sex tape having crowd, like the Hannah Montana star has. It seems that stars, like Miley Cyrus, would be better off putting anything about themselves that could be considered scandalous out there right of the bat, rather than waiting for someone to discover it.

I don't see Miley Cyrus as the next Britney Spears, but then again, I didn't see Britney Spears as an up and coming case for psychiatric speculation. I know that most parents probably don't want to hear this, but teenage girls about the age of Miley Cyrus, often take "racy" photos with their girlfriends and make jokes about sex. I guess it is their way of dealing with the transition from being an innocent girl to being a sexual being, and I say sexual being because those hormones do sometimes lead their minds to the gutter. Just like young boys may joke with one another about being gay, girlfriends will joke with one another in a similar sexual manner, which is what I see going on in the Hannah Montana star's first batch of "racy" Miley Cyrus photos. Hopefully young Miley will stick to her convictions and learn from the mistakes that she does make. Maybe Miley will rise above the "Britney Spears Curse".
